NTSE - National Talent Search Examination

National Talent Search Scheme was started by NCERT in 1963. The goal of the scheme was to identify meritorious students and nurture talent of the students. On the basis of the performance in the examination, 1000 scholarships will be awarded for students appearing for Class VIII examinations. The scholarship amount for selected candidates will be 500/- Rupees per month.

Essential Eligibility: Class VIII students who are studying in recognized schools are eligible.

Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected based on two-stage selection process for this scholarship. For Stage-I, selection will be done by respective States / Union Territories through a written examination at the state level. Students who qualify Stage I will be eligible to appear for Stage II examination conducted by NCERT.

Important Dates to be remembered:

For Stage I (State level): Last Date for Submission of Application Forms: 31-8-2009
