ECET for Engineering, Pharmacy through Lateral Admission

JNTUH – Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Hyderabad has issued notification for Engineering Common Entrance Test (ECET – 2010). ECET is intended for admission to B. Tech. / B.E. Engineering and B. Pharmacy courses through lateral entry. Diploma Holders and candidates with B.Sc. (Mathematics) Degree are eligible for this test. JNTUH is conducting this exam on behalf of APSCHE.

Candidates with Diplomas in following Engineering branches are eligible to apply for ECET - 2010: Civil, Electrical , Mechanical (also includes Automobile, Printing Technology, Packaging Technology & Foot Ware Technology), Computer Engineering , Electronics and Communication (Candidates with special diploma in TV and Sound Technology can also apply), Bio-Medical Engineering (including Special Diploma), Mining  or Metallurgy, Chemical (including Sugar Technology / Textile Technology / Ceramic Technology / Leather Technology), Electronics and Instrumentation (including Special Diploma), Pharmacy, B.Sc., Graduates with Mathematics.

Important Dates for ECET 2010:

Start of sale of applications: 22-02- 2010.
Last date for receipt of applications (without any late fee): 31-03-2010
Last date for receipt of applications (With a late fee of Rs.500/-): 19-04-2010.
Last Date for submission of applications (With a late fee of Rs.1000/-): 30-04-2010.
Last Date for applications (With a late fee of Rs.5000/-): 15-05-2010 (This facility is available at convener’s officer only).
ECET 2010 exam date: 24-05-2010.

Admissions to the following courses will be conducted through ECET - 2010:

1. Second year B.E./B.Tech. (Regular) Courses in all AICTE approved private engineering colleges.
2. First year B.E./ B.Tech. Course in all University Engineering Colleges for specified number of seats allocated only for Diploma holders,
3. Second year B.Pharmacy (Regular) Courses in all universities and private colleges.
