IISER BS-MS Integrated, Ph.D. Admissions

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal- premier institute for training and research in Sciences issued notification for admission into Integrated M.S. and Ph.D. Programs. IISER Bhopal has distinction of producing world quality research and it's scientists have been awarded prestigious medals instituted at the national level. Following are the details of Courses:

BS-MS Integrated Program (5 years): (Offered at IISER - Bhopal, Pune, Kolkata, Mohali and Thiruvananthapuram)
Ph.D.: (at IISER- Bhopal. All IISERs issue notifications separately)

Details of MS Program:

BS-MS Integrated Program (5 years) is offered at IISER Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, Kolkata, Mohali along with IISER Bhopal. Candidates should have cleared +2 exam by any state board / IIT JEE 2010 / KVPY 2009 or 2010. All the candidates admitted into these program in all the IISERs will get scholarship of Rs.5000 per month.
Candidates shall apply online through IISER website.

Last dates for applications through online:

For KVPY candidates: 02/04/2010
For IIT JEE candidates: 9 June - 18 June 2010
For state Board Candidates: June 15 - 2 July 2010

Details of Ph.D. Program at IISER, Bhopal Program:

Areas of Research: Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, Mathematics and Physics.
Eligibility: Candidates should have M. Sc. Degree with at least 55% marks along with a valid GATE/ UGC/ CSIR/ JEST/ ICMR/ DBT/ NBHM. Last date for submission of Ph.D. applications: 20/04/2010. Ph.D. Details and applications download at www.iiserbhopal.ac.in.

    Hi Smruthi,
    IISERs are designed to promote research in sciences, most importantly basic sciences. If you are interested in higher courses like Ph.D. and like to pursue research, BS-MS is the best course for you. You may also find some opportunities with BS-MS Degree itself, but usually it takes time to get a break through in career. Wish you all the best!

    I would like to know after completing B.Tech in Information Technology can i get a chance for Integrated Phd program? If possible then what will be research field.
