With the steep rise in the number of engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh, students will have more seats to select. Apart from sanction of new colleges, approval to start second shift in many other colleges also increased the choice for EAMCET 2010 candidates. The total number of seats in all major engineering branches except Information Technology are increased this year. The stagnation in demand for IT courses has been credited to the employment crisis for a long time across the world. APSCHE has come up with a information booklet containing details of all colleges, branches, seats and codes of various courses. This will be distributed to the EAMCET candidates at the time of certificate verification. Following are the latest number of engineering seats in Andhra Pradesh. These are under convener quota.
ECE - 68500 (last year 62000)
