Postal Assistants Jobs in AP Circle August 2010

Chief Postmaster General, Andhra Pradesh Circle, Hyderabad issued notification for the recruitment of Postal Assistants (812 posts) and Sorting Assistants (184 posts). Vacancies are available in all the districts of AP and total number of posts is 996. Candidates have to send the applications to the concerned head post offices in the district for which they are applying. The scale of pay is Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2400/- along with allowances. The selected candidates will be appointed and will be on probation till the successful completion of probation as per rules. Last date for receipt of applications is 05-10-2010. Essential eligibility: Applicants should have passed in 10+2 or 12th Class Examination in any discipline excluding vocational streams. Typing skills and computer knowledge are desirable. Age should be between 18 to 25 years as on last date for receipt of application. Selection will be merit in written examination. The aggregate marks for selection will be 100 , contains of 40% weightage for marks secured in 10+2 or 12 th Class, 50% weightage for marks secured in aptitude test and 10 marks for computer test (including typing skill on computer).
