IITB-Monash Academy Ph.D. Admissions June 2011 Intake

The IITB - Monash Research Academy is prestigious joint research institute of Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) and Monash University, Melbourne, Australia. Both the leading research institutions are jointly offering Ph.D. program with focus on multidisciplinary research including science and engineering. The Academy has issued notification for admission to June 2011 intake. Selected candidates will receive scholarships and degree will be awarded by both the institutions. You will also have an opportunity to visit Monash University for minimum 6 months with a special fellowship.

Selected candidates have to carry out research in following areas: 1. Nanotechnology 2. Biotechnology and stem cell research 3. Advanced computational engineering, simulation and manufacture 4. Clean energy 5. Infrastructure engineering 6. Water. Candidates will have the opportunity to work closely with R and D labs of various industries in India and Australia.

Applicants should have Masters Degree in Engineering or Science OR Bachelors/ Masters from IITs, NITs, or BITS. Those having excellent scores in GATE and GRE are encouraged to apply.
