RBI Young Scholars Award Scheme 2011

Reserve Bank of India announced an innovative scholarship award scheme for Graduates of various disciplines. The scheme was started to create awareness on Indian Banking System. Under RBI Young Scholars Scheme, the RBI will select a maximum of 150 candidates through all India examination and award a scholarship on monthly basis. The amount of scholarships is Rs. 7500 per month. RBI will select the candidates based on merit in written examination. Written test will be conducted in English and major regional languages.

Written examination will focus on topics like the role and functions of RBI, Banking system in India. All the graduates can apply for these scholarships. The applicants age must be between 18 and 23 years. They should be pursuing their undergraduate studies in any subject.

Candidates have to apply in the prescribed format available on RBI official website www.rbi.org.in . Candidates can also submit applications online through above website. Date of selection test: 09-01-2011. Last date for submission of completed applications: 14-10-2010.
