XLRI XAT 2011 Notification-Cut Offs and Exam Pattern

Xaviers Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) is a famous B-School in India and Asia as well. XLRI was started in Jamshedpur during 1949. This is the best institute among those conducting programmes in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (PMIR). Along with PMIR, XLRI also offering General MBA and Executive Management Programmes. Admissions to all the programmes offered by XLRI will be done through Xaviers Admission Test. XAT 2011 Notification has been released recently. Apart from XLRI, XAT scores will be used for admission to Management / MBA/ PGPM programmes in prestigious institutes like Xaviers Institute of Management - Bhubaneshwar, Goa Institute of Management, SP Jain Institute - Mumbai, Welingkar Institute- Mumbai and Loyola Institute of Business Management- Chennai.

Candidates will have better understanding of XAT through reviewing previous examinations. In XLRI 2010, there are 101 questions from 3 sections. Each question carries 1 mark. There will be negative marking in XAT. For the first 5 wrong answers, 0.2 marks will be deducted. After that, every mistake will carry -0.25 marks. Weightage for various sections and questions In XAT 2010: There are 31 questions from Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning, 40 questions from Data Interpretation and Quantitative Ability and 30 questions from Analytical Reasoning and Decision Making. Candidates feel that questions from Analytical Reasoning are more difficult than other sections.

XAT 2011 Applications will be available in designated Axis Bank branches across the country. Candidates can apply either online or offline. XAT 2011 will be conducted on 2nd January 2011 across 33 cities in the country. 1. XLRI - BM : Score - 32 and 98 percentile
2. XLRI - PMIR: Score - 29 and 95 percentile
3. SPJIMR: Score - 25 and 90 percentile
4. XIMB: Score - 30 and 96.5 percentile
5. GIM: Score - 27 and 93 percentile
6. LIBA: Score - 26 and 92 percentile
