BITS-ME, M.Pharm, Ph.D. Admissions January 2011

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani offers Higher Degree and Doctoral Degree programmes in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Humanities. All the Ph.D. courses are offered at BITS Pilani campus, Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus. Higher Degree Programmes are available at Goa and Pilani campuses only. Applications are invited for admission in the 2nd semester starting from January 2011. Following are the programmes:

1. Higher Degree Programmes (ME and M.Pharm): Candidates having minimum 60 percent marks in qualifying degree are eligible.
A) At Pilani Campus: ME in Chemical, Civil, Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical and Software Systems and M.Pharm
B) At KK Birla Goa campus: ME in Biotechnology, Chemical, Design Engineering, Embedded Systems, Software Systems.
Admission will be based on computer based online test to be conducted by BITS on 18th / 19th December 2010.

2. Ph.D. Programme at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses: Applicants should have ME/ M.Pharm/ MBA/ M.Phil of BITS with minimum 60 percent marks. M.Sc./ BE/ B.Pharm candidates also can apply but they have to undergone additional course work. Industries and R and D organisations can sponsor candidates under 'Ph.D. Aspirants Scheme'.

Selected candidates will be considered for financial assistantship in the form of teaching / project / Research Assistantship. Application forms are available online at www.bitsadmission.com .
