Padmavati Womens University M.Sc. Biotech, PG Diploma Admissions 2011-12

Directorate of Admissions, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (SPMVV - Womens University), Tirupati issued notification for admission into various Diploma, PG Diploma Courses, M.Sc. Biotechnology (5 Year Integrated Program) and Special Education Courses for the academic year 2011-2012. SPMVV is a women's university established in Andhra Pradesh. Most of the courses are offered in self finance mode. Following are details of courses, eligibility and application procedure:

1. M.Sc. Biotechnology (5 Year Integrated); Duration of the course is 5 years (10 semesters); Number of seats are 20. Eligibility: Intermediate or 10+2 with BiPC / MBiPC.

2. Master’s course in Special education (Hearing impaired)- Self Finance; Duration is 1 year. Seats available are 20. Eligibility: Pass in B.Ed. (Special - HI) OR B.Ed. with 2 years diploma in Special Education (HI).

3. Bachelor’s course in Special education (Hearing impaired); Duration is 1 year.Number of seats are 25. Eligibility: Applicants should have 45 percent marks in BA / B.Sc..

4. P.G. Diploma in pre-school Education; Duration is 1 year; Number of seats are 15. Eligibility: Bachelors degree with minimum 45 percent marks.

5. P.G. Diploma in Wild Life management; Duration is 1 year. Number of seats are 12 (10 regular and 2 sponsored). Eligibility: Post Graduation in any branch of Life Sciences with minimum 50 percent marks in group subjects.

6. P.G. Diploma in Family Health and HIV/ AIDS counseling; Duration is 1 year. This is full time self financing course. Number of seats are 30. Eligibility is pass in any graduation.

7. Diploma in Fashion Technology; Duration is 1 year; Number of seats are 30. Eligibility is Pass in Secondary Education.

Interested candidates can obtain application forms from the Office of Director of Admissions, (Department of Sericulture), Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati, on payment of Rs.300/- as DD drawn in favor of the Registrar, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati. You can also get application forms by post through sending the DD for Rs. 350 as mentioned above. The filled in application form along with all the required copies of certificates should be submitted to the 'Director, Directorate of Admissions, (Department of Sericulture), Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati- 517502. Candidates should indicate the name of the course applying on the envelop. Last date for the receipt of filled in application forms is 8th July 2011.
