VITEEE 2013 Notification, Application, Key and Results

Vellore, Tamilnadu: VIT University (formerly known as Vellore Institute of Technology) is one of the reputed engineering institutions in the country. The VIT University has announced VITEEE 2013 notification and dates for admission into B.Tech. programmes for the academic year 2013-14. The VIT University has campuses at Vellore and Chennai. VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE 2013) will be held on across the country. Interested candidates can apply online through VIT University website at www.vit.ac.in . Candidates can also obtain application forms from the designated post offices. VIT University, Vellore has excellent record in providing placements to its engineering students. Following are the details of B.Tech. specializations, VITEEE 2013 Key, results etc. along with programmes offered at VIT campuses in Tamilnadu for 2012-13:

1) Vellore Campus: B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering. (Energy Engineering), Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering (EIE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Civil Engineering (CE), Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Biomedical Engineering (BME), Information Technology (IT), Bioinformatics, Mechanical Engineering (MEC), Biotechnology (BT), Mechanical Engineering (Automotive Engineering), Mechanical Engineering and Chemical Process Engineering.

2) Courses at Chennai Campus: B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), Civil Engineering (CE), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE), Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Mechanical Engineering (MEC).

Eligibility Requirements for VITEEE 2013: Applicants should have passed in Intermediate / 10+2 with minimum 60 percent marks in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (MPC) or Biology (PCB). Those candidates studied Biology along with Physics, Chemistry in Intermediate / 10+2 will be considered for B.Tech. Bioinformatics, Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering courses only. Those candidates appearing in their final year exams in 2012 also eligible to apply. Cost of VITEEE 2013 application form is Rs. 750.

VIT University also offers number of scholarships for its meritorious students under ‘GV Schools Development Programme (GVSDP) based on the performance in VITEEE 2012. The scholarships cover full duration of the course and all the important expenses. Following are details of these scholarships:
1) First (1) to 100 rankers in VITEEE 2013 will 70 percent tuition fee waiver.
2) Those secured 51 – 100 ranks in VITEEE 2013 are eligible to get 50 percent fee waiver.
3) Toppers of State Board Examination (One from each state) will get 100 percent fee waiver.

Last date for the submission of applications is 7th March 2013.
