Andhra University M.Tech Sponsored Category Admissions 2011-12

Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam is inviting applications for admission into M.E. / M.Tech / M.Pharm courses offered in Andhra University College of Engineering (Autonomous) and College of Pharmaceutical Sciences for the academic year 2011-12. The programmes are offered under sponsored category. Selection of the candidates will be through GATE / GPAT and PGECET-2011. Candidates those applied already for PGECET-2011 can also apply. Following are details of seats, eligibility and application procedure:

Candidates are advised carefully go through the information brochure available in the Andhra University website www.andhrauniversity.info/doa and should apply for registration in the prescribed Form-V provided in the website. Priority in selection will be in the order of valid GATE or GPAT score, Rank holders in in PGECET-2011 with a minimum of 50 percent marks. Industry sponsorship is essential for all the candidates. 1) Department of Chemical Engineering: 25 seats (M.Tech. Chemical Engineering - 5, M.Tech. Mineral Process Engineering - 5, M.Tech. Industrial Pollution Control Engineering- 5, M.Tech. Computer Aided Chemical Engineering- 5, M.Tech. Bio Technology- 5)
2) Civil Engineering: 25 seats
3) Electrical Engineering: 10 seats
4) Mechanical Engineering: 15 seats
5) Geo-Engineering: 10 seats
6) Marine Engineering: 5 seats
7) Electronics and Communications Engineering: 15 seats
8) Instrumentation Technology: 5 seats
9) Metallurgical Engineering: 5 seats
10) Computer Science and System Engineering: 24 seats
11) Nanotechnology: 5 seats
12) AU College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Andhra University: 18 seats

Interested candidates can obtain application forms from Andhra University website. Filled in application forms along with all the relevant copies of certificates and a DD for Rs.1000/- towards registration fee drawn in favour the Director, Directorate of Admissions, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam should be sent to 'The Director, Directorate of admissions, Andhra University, Vijayanagar Palace, Pedawaltair, Visakhapatnam – 530017'. Last date for the submission of applications is 17-11-2011. Counseling for the admission is scheduled on 23rd November 2011.
