AP Press Academy Certificate Courses 2011

Applications are invited by Andhra Pradesh Press Academy for admission to short term certificate courses in digital production techniques and photo jouornalism as part of its Mid-Career Training for Working Media Persons. These courses are conducted jointly by Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh and Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), Hyderabad. Interested candidates should apply in the prescribed format available at AP Press Academy website at www.pressacademy.ap.gov.in OR applications can be obtained from nearest DPROs. Applicants should register themselves by paying Rs. 100/- in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Secretary, Press Academy of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad. Following are details such as eligibility, selection and application procedure:

Eligibility: There are two certificate courses courses on offer. These are 1) Digital Production Techniques in Media 2) Photo Journalism. Applicants should have studied Intermediate and must be a working media person. A selection committee will scrutinize all the applications received and select the eligible candidates. The number of seats in each certificate course are 20 (Twenty). Course fee is Rs.7000/- per each course. Out of these, the selected candidate has to pay just Rs. 1000 and the remaining Rs. 6000 will be paid by Press Academy to the College. Fee of Rs. 1000 should be paid as DD drawn in favour of M/s. Principal, Jawaharlal Nehru College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad.

Classes are scheduled to commence during the last week of December 2011. Selected candidates will be awarded A, B, and C Grades based on their performance in the course. Interested candidates have to attach copies of the Academic and Technical qualifications, experience certificate and a Demand Draft for Rs.100/- and a Self-addressed envelope (stamps not necessary) along with the application. Last date for the receipt of applications at the Office of the Press Academy is on or before 15th December, 2011.
