Gitam University GAT 2012-13 Admission Notification

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management, popularly known as GITAM University, Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh) will conduct GAT 2012 (Gitam Admission Test 2012) for admission into different professional programmes for the academic year 2012-13. GITAM University offer Bachelors, Masters and Diploma Programes in Engineering, Management and Science disciplines. Gitam University has campuses at Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad. GITAM University is ranked at No.4 in deemed universities category in India. Gitam University has also started B.Arch and B.Tech. (Aeronautics) from the academic year 2011-12. GITAM is known for quality of programmes along with good placement record for engineering and management candidates. GAT 2012 is the online entrance examination through which admissions to many of the professional courses will be conducted. Gitam University also offer various scholarships and fee waiver schemes for meritorious candidates. Following are details of programmes offered through GAT 2012-13.

1) B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology): Branches offered are CSE, IT, ECE, EEE, EIE, Civil, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Biotechnology and B.Arch. Duration is 4 years.
2) M.Tech. (Master of Technology): Specialisations available are CSE, Software Engineering, IT, RF and ME, DSP, Instrumentation, Power Systems, Machine Design, CAD- CAM, Biotechnology, Industrial Engineering and Management. Duration is 2 years.
3) MCA (Master of Computer Applications): Duration is 3 years
4) B.Pharmacy: Duration is 4 years
5) M. Pharmacy: Duration is 2 years. All the modern specializations in pharmacy are available.
6) BBM: Duration is 3 years
7) Integrated MBA: This is a 5 years integrated programme offered after Intermediate.
8) MBA: Specialisations available are International Business, International Banking and Finance, Logistics and Supply Chain Management and Retail Management.
9) MHRM (Master of Human Resources Management)
10) M.Sc. (Management)
11) PG Advanced Diploma in Risk Insurance Management
12) B.Tech - M.Tech. Integrated Courses: Specialisations offered are Mechanical and ECE.

Eligibility and Qualifications: To be eligible to appear for GAT 2012, candidates should have passed in 10+2 or Intermediate examinations with minimum 60 percent marks. You can apply online for GAT 2012 through GITAM University website at www.gitam.edu. Candidates can also download prescribed application forms from university website or you can obtain it from designated branches of Union Bank of India and Indian Bank.

About GAT 2012 Online Test: GAT 2012 is an computer based online entrance examination. Duration of the test is two hours. The question paper of GAT 2012 will consist of objective multiple choice type questions. The computer based test will be conducted across India along with major towns in Andhra Pradesh.
