Intermediate Tatkal Exams Fee - NEET News

1) Intermediate Examas fee: The last date for paying Intermediate examination fee under the Tatkal scheme has been extended to 8th December 2011. The fee is Rs. 500 apart from the first year fee of Rs. 230 and second year fee is Rs. 230. Those seeking attendance exemption fee have to pay an additional Rs. 500. Students opting for Tatkal scheme have to pay the fee in their college and forward the applications from there. However, they have to write the examinations at the center allotted by the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE). Failed candidates of 2006-07 and earlier batches have to appear for all the subjects as fresh candidates.

2) NEET News: State Minister for Health Education, DL Ravindra Reddy said that the central government might take a decision to postpone introduction of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) by about two years. The center was urged to exempt students of AP from NEET for two years, as it would pose problems to those aspiring to secure admission in MBBS if NEET was introduced from next academic year, the Health Minister observed.

3) Rishi Valley School at 80: The Rishi Valley School, Chittoor district is celebrating turning on 80 years on Saturday and Sunday. The Rishi Valley School is the first of its kind school established by world renowned philosopher Jiddu Kishnamurti. The school is located at Madanapalli, near the home town of Jiddu Krishnumurthi. About more than 250 students those studied in the Rishi Valley school in a span of five decades have attended the celebrations.
