Korukonda Sainik School Admission Notification

Korukonda Sainik School (KSS), Korukonda, Vizianagaram District, Andhra Pradesh has issued admission notificatin for 6th and 9th classes for the academic year 2012-13. The Sainik School will conduct All India Sainik Schools Entrance Exam 2012-13 for short listing the candidates for Classes VI and IX . The entrance examination will conducted on 08th January 2012 (Sunday). The main aim of the Sainik School is to prepare the boys academically, mentally and physically fit for entry into the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla and also other walks of life. Korukonda Sainik School follows 10 + 2 System of CBSE curriculum. Following are details of age limit, number of seats, syllabus, entrance exam pattern, exam centers and application procedure:

1) Class VI : 70 seats; Candidates should have born between 02 July 2001 and 01 July 2002 (both days inclusive).
2) Class IX : 20 seats; Boys born between 02 July 1998 and 01 July 1999 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. They should have passed class VIII from a recognized school before admission.

Cost of application is Rs. 475 (Rs. 325 for SC and ST candidates). Registration fee should be paid in the form of DD drawn in favour of the ‘Principal, Sainik School Korukonda’ and payable at State Bank of India, Sainik School, Korukonda Branch, Code No.2791. Admission Test will be conducted at Hyderabad, Karimnagar, Guntur, Visakhapatnam, Tirupathi and Vizianagaram.
