NIFT Admissions 2012-13 for Fashion Design and Technology Courses

The class apart institute for fashion courses, National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has issued admission notification for it's most sought after programmes leading to Bachelor and Master Degrees. NIFT is highly reputed and most prestigious institute in India for fashion design and technology related courses. NIFT has announced admission notification for the year 2012 -13. The institute is functioning under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. NIFT is very popular for specially designed programmes in Fashion Design, Management and Technology. Following are details of Under Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes offered at NIFT centers for the year 2012013.

1) Bachelor of Design (B.Des.): Specialisations offered are Accessory Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Communication, Leather Design, Knitwear Design, Leather Design and Textile Design
2) B.FTech in Apparel Production
3) Master of Design (M.Des.) in Design
4) M.FTech in Fashion Technology
5) M.F.M in Fashion Management

NIFT will conduct an all India level entrance examination to shortlist the candidates. Selection of the candidates for all the above courses will be based on performance in the written entrance test and Situation Test / GD / Interview. Interested candidates can obtain prospectus and application form from the selected branches of Axis Bank and IDBI Bank. Candidates can also obtain forms from any of the NIFT centres by hand by paying Rs.250/-. OR you can avail the form by post enclosing a DD of Rs.350/- in favour of NIFT, New Delhi payable at New Delhi. 1) Availability of Application Forms: From 21 November 2011 to 5 January, 2012
2) Last date for the submission of application form: 10 January 2012
3) Written Entrance Examination: 12 February 2012
4) Results of Written Examinations: March 2012
5) Schedule of Situation Test / GD / Interviews: April - May 2012
6) Declaration of Final Results for admission into Bachelors Programmes: May 2012
7) Declaration of Final Results for admission into Masters Programmes: June 2012
