Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development Management (PGDRDM): There are 50 seats. Programme will commence from August 2012 and will be completed in July 2013. Eligibility for the programme is Graduation in any discipline. Candidates in the final year degree and those expecting to complete all the requirements of graduation by 1st August 2012 are also eligible to apply. There will be some sponsored seats for in-service candidates from India and abroad. In-service candidates should have minimum two years of work experience in the areas of rural development and allied sectors.
Selection of candidates to PGDRDM programme will be based on all India Entrance Test which consists of verbal, quantitative and analytical competencies of the students along with English Language. Short listed candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interviews. The Entrance Test will be conducted on 05th February 2012 at Ahmedabad, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Srinagar, Jammu, Kolkata, Chennai, Guwahati, Kanpur, Lucknow, New Delhi, Patna, Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Raipur, Ranchi, Siliguri, Thiruvananthapuram and Udaipur.
Interested candidates can obtain prospectus cum application forms from institute's website at www.nird.org.in . Application forms can be obtained from the Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), NIRD, Hyderabad free of cost. Forms are also available at other NID centers located at NIRD-NERC, Guwahati; NIRD-Eastern Regional Centre, Patna and at NIRD centre at Jaipur. Completed application forms should be sent to Admissions Coordinator, Centre for Post Graduate Studies (CPGS), National Institute of Rural Development, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500030 (A.P), India. Last date for the receipt of applications is 09th January 2012. Last date for North Eastern States is 16th January 2012 and for international students, it is 31st March 2012.
