Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University (SVVU), Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh is a specialised university for training and research in Veterinary Sciences and allied disciplines. The SVVU has announced Admission Notification 2012 for entry into M.V.Sc. / M.F.Sc. and Ph.D. programmes in the faculty of Veterinary Science for the academic year 2011-12. Admission into teaching colleges, polytechnics and veterinary research centers functioning under the purview of SVVU will be based on the entrance test to be conducted by SVVU, Tirupati. Eligibility and Qualifications: Applicants those seeking admission into MVSc should have passed BVSc and AH (Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) Bachelor's Degree from SVVU or ANGRAU or any other recognised institution in India. Selection of the candidates for the above programmes will be based on previous academic record of the candidates and performance in entrance test. Those candidates applying for Ph.D programme should have MVSc Degree in Dairy Production or Poultry Science or Dairy Technology and Meat Science and Technology or Feed and Fodder Technology. Veterinary Research Stations in Andhra Pradesh are located at Mahabubnagar, Venkataramannagudem (West Godavari District), Lam Farm (Guntur), Rajendranagar (Hyderabad), Garividi (Vijayanagaram District), Mahanandi (Kurnool District), Palamaner (Chittoor District), Tirupati, and Siddarampuram.
