University of Hyderabad M.Tech, MCA and Ph.D in Computers

The Department of Computer and Information Sciences of University of Hyderabad (HCU) offer M.Tech, MCA and Ph.D. programmes. The department has high quality post-graduate regular teaching and research programmes in all major areas of Computing such as Information Science, Technology and Artificial Intelligence. M.Tech. Programmes in Artificial Intelligence offered by University of Hyderabad is a class apart and has excellent placements. Another exclusive unique programme of the department is M.Tech with specialization in Banking Technology and Information
Security. This is jointly offered in collaboration with IDRBT. The University conducts separate entrance examinations and interviews for admission to various courses.

The department of computers also offer Ph.D. programme. Candidates can pursue research in the important areas including Data Base Management Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Networks and Distributed Processing, Mobile Computing, Logic, Computer and Network Security, Enterprise Resource Planning, Bioinformatics, Decision Support Systems, Geographical Information Systems, E-Commerce, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, Machine Learning, Image Processing, Cognition, Vision, Artificial Intelligence, Speech Processing, Natural Language Engineering, Pattern Recognition, Parallel and Grid Computing. Ph.D. students will have an opportunity to work at University of Trento, Italy; National University of Singapore, Freie University, Berlin etc as part of the exchange programmes. The HCU offer GATE fellowships to all eligible M.Tech students. The university also offer financial assistance for all the programmes based on various conditions. All the PG courses are four semester programmes. There are some seats for NRI and Sponsored category students. (Computational Techniques) offered by School of Physics, M.Tech (Bio-Informatics) offered by School of Life Sciences and 5-year Integrated M.A. and M.Sc., courses from respective departments.
