IIRM-ICICI Lombard PG in Risk and General Insurance

ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, in association with the Institute of Insurance and Risk Management (IIRM) has started the full time Post Graduate Programme in Risk and General Insurance (PGPRGI). This is the first of its kind programme in India to offer professional training in specialized areas related to insurance such as underwriting, claims and risk management. The course is designed by ICICI Lambord and IIRM and focuses on the industry perspective. Duration of the programme is eight months. Those successfully completed the course will be placed in various specialized corporate functions of ICICI Lombard. Following are details of programme, eligibility and application procedure:

Selection process consists of assessment process which will include aptitude test and interview process. Interviews will be conducted by ICICI Lombard Managers. The batch will consist of 10-15 graduates initially for the first year programme and the number of seats may be increased in the coming years. Science Graduates with any of the following graduations like B pharmacy, Para medical graduates (eg nursing etc), BHMS, BAMS, BS (Micro biology) , BSc ( Bio –tech) with minimum 50 percent marks are eligible to apply.

Programme structure: There will be an internship with ICICI Lombard as part of the programme. The Hyderabad based IIRM is an arm of Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority. On successful completion of the programme, ICICI Lombard would absorb all the candidates and offer appointments in various branches of the company. The programme will commence from June 2012.
