The number of online applicants crossed 2550 within three days of providing access dispelling notions that submission online would pose problems. The official website www.apeamcet.org has received more than 5000 hits so far. On the first day more than 75 percent of candidates used their credit cards to pay the fee while the number of students paying fee through e-Seva centers has increased to 50 percent indicating that they were logging in even small towns and villages.
The EAMCET 2012 office is also receiving at least 30- 40 calls per day with students raising doubts on issues like eligibility criteria, age limit and caste status. Most of these are coming from outside the State and all their problems were being attended to within 30 minutes. Candidates can also track the status of their complaints. The authorities have provided 30 MBPS bandwidth facilitating simultaneous logging of 15000 candidates.
