About 1.45 lakh applications were received for EDCET 2012. The last date for the receipt of applications has been completed on 28th April 2012. Social Studies has received huge response. It is estimated that there are 60000 applications for Social Studies, 40500 for Biological Sciences, 28500 for Mathematics, 12500 for Physical Sciences and 3500 for English.
