These colleges will submit proposals to the government who will in turn clear it. The fee hike in these colleges will be from 7 percent to 42 percent, as per their proposals. The increase in fee will be from Rs. 3000 to Rs. 15000 depending on the present fee structure and proposal of the college. The APSCHE has clarified that the fee hhike will be for the year 2012-13 only. Following are the proposals of various top rung colleges to hike the fee for Engineering courses:
1) MGIT (Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Technology): 25 percent
2) GMR Institute of Technology: 27 percent
3) G Pullareddy Engineering College: 15 percent
4) CBIT (Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology): 42 percent
5) CVR College of Engineering: 19 percent
6) Gokaraju Rangaraju College of Engineering: 7 percent
7) SRKR College of Engineering: 21 percent
8) Vasavi College of Engineering: 22 percent
9) Kamala Institute of Technology: 14 percent
10) MVSR Engineering College: 14 percent
11) VR Siddhartha College of Engineering: 13 percent
12) KSRM Engineering College: 13 percent
13) PVP Siddhardha College of Engineering: 10 percent.
Managements of other engineering colleges also sought similar permission from the court to hike the fee and they are arguing that the AFRC has not looked into thier proposals and did not present them to the court. The SC has clarified that such college have to submit an undertaking to the Supreme Court within one week as later submit fresh proposals to AFRC.
