SSC Revaluation and Recounting - New Procedure from 2012

The Government of Andhra Pradesh (Board of Secondary Education - bseap.org) is proposed to change the revaluation and recounting procedures of SSC / 10th Class examination. Most important change is the decentralization of revaluation across the state. The Tenth Class candidates can apply for revaluation at the district head quarters itself and need not wait for the information from Hyderabad. But the recounting will be done at Hyderabad only.

In the new procedure, candidates those applied for revaluation will get the reply from concerned authorities within 10 to 15 days. Revaluation is applicable for all the subjects except Social Studies till the date. The Social Studies also will be included in revaluation from next academic year. Following is the procedure to apply for revaluation and recounting:

1) Candidates have to pay the fee through challan at the district education office only after approval from the head master of the school.

2) Students answer sheets will be with the District Education Officers (DEOs). A special committee will examine and re-valuate the answer sheets under the supervision of DEO.

3) Candidates will receive copies of revaluation sheets from Department of Public Examinations, Hyderabad. Original Answer sheets will be kept with Head Office at Hyderabad for an year and will be destroyed later.

4) Candidates can avail the revaluation facility from the 3rd day after the announcement of SSC / 10th Class results and will be allowed for 15 days.

5) Recounting of SSC / Tenth Class answer sheets will be done at Hyderabad only. The recounting will be taken up by the Examinations Section of Board of Secondary Education, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.
