Number of Seats in Engineering Branches in Andhra Pradesh 2012-13

Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) has been in great demand among EAMCET candidates for the past one and half decade. 2) Computer Science and Engineering (CSE): 67390 seats
3) Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE): 47510 seats
4) Civil Engineering (CE): 27465 seats
5) Mechanical Engineering (ME): 36530 seats
6) Information Technology (IT): 28785 seats

Above numbers are for the academic year 2012-13. With the increase of more seats in ECE this year, the number is likely to increase to 90000 seats. There are 707 Engineering Colleges in Andhra Pradesh. All the colleges are offering ECE branch.

Candidates should note that the recruiters are mostly focusing on the skills of candidates at the B.Tech / BE level. Leading IT and software companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro Technologies, HCL etc are providing job opportunities for ECE candidates. Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Noida, Gurgaon and Chennai are the leading job locations for ECE candidates.
