AP EAMCET - Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges and Seats for 2012-13

Eamcet Latest Updates on 21st August 2012: With the announcement of EAMCET 2012 counseling dates, all the aspiring engineering and pharmacy students and their parents are searching for the information on Engineering colleges, number of seats in Engineering and Pharmacy. Andhra Pradesh is the largest state in the country in terms of engineering colleges. The AP has 717 engineering colleges with a strength of 3.42 lakhs seats for the academic year 2012-13. Number of Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges and Seats:

1) Total Number of Engineering Colleges in AP as on date: 717
2) Total Engineering Sears in AP: 3,42,376 (Including 37730 new seats from this year)
3) Number of Pharmacy Colleges in AP: 278
4) Total number of Pharmacy seats in Andhra Pradesh as on date: 32070 (Increased seats are 1140).
5) Total seats in Engineering and Pharmacy Courses: 3,74,446 (Increased seats from last year are 38870)

University Engineering Colleges and Seats:

1) Total University Engineering Colleges: 31 (which includes newly sanctioned colleges)
2) Available seats in Govt. Engineering Colleges: 5946 (Increased from previous year are 490)
3) Number of Govt. Pharmacy Colleges: 11
4) Seats available in Govt. Pharmacy Colleges: 510 (Increased seats are 40)

Private Engineering and Pharmacy Colleges and seats:

1) Total Private Engineering Colleges in AP: 687
2) Newly sanctions Private Engineering Colleges: 4
3) Engineering Seats in Private Colleges: 3,36,430 (About 37240 seats increased from last year.)
4) Private Pharmacy Colleges: 268
5) Seats available in Private Pharmacy Colleges: 31560 (Increases number of seats this year is 1100).
