Changes in Engineering Syllabus from 2013-14

The universities in Andhra Pradesh are thinking of changing syllabus for Engineering courses from the academic year 2013-14. It has been a convention in Andhra Pradesh to change the syllabus for every four years in engineering discipline.

The industry has been demanding for the overhaul of engineering education. They are insisting on changing syllabus for every two years. JNTU Hyderabad is changing the syllabus for every four years.

The exercise is going on for changes from 2013-14 academic year. Those joining the Engineering courses in 2013-14 will have to follow the new syllabus to be introduced.

A meeting has also been conducted with the Chairmen of all Boards of Studies and discussed the proposed changes in Engineering syllabus. It was observed that the syllabus can also be reduced in some subjects which are over burdened on the students.
