Ambedkar Overseas Education Scheme for ST Candidates 2015-16 in Telangana - Apply through ePASS

Department of Social Welfare, Government of Telangana has informed that the ST students who want to study abroad can avail Ambedkar Overseas Education Scheme through which they can get a scholarship of Rs. 10 lakhs as financial assistance. The interested ST candidates can apply through epass.cgg.gov.in / telanganaepass.cgg.gov.in.

The candidates can avail this scholarship for pursuing higher courses in professional subjects / disciplines such as Medicine/ Engineering/ Pharmacy/ Nursing/ Pure Sciences/ Humanities/ Social Studies etc. in Foreign Universities.

Eligibility: Candidate should belong to ST community and should be native of State of Telangana. Candidates should note that 1st class marks in Graduation and Post Graduation is compulsory for pursuing PG studies abroad.

Interested students shall apply with all the proofs. Candidates should have secured admission in a foreign university and need passport to apply for this scheme. The website is www.epass.cgg.gov.in . Last date for the online registrations is 10th June 2015.
