Engineering Seats in Telangana 2015 - Latest Position after Cut of 97000 Seats

The JNTU Hyderabad (JNTUH) has come out with a surprise by cutting 97000 engineering seats in Telangana colleges for the academic year 2015-16. There is huge cut in number of seats and branches of various engineering colleges. The engineering counseling for TS - EAMCET 2015 qualified candidates will start from 6th July 2015.

25 Colleges have opted for the de-recognition / de-affiliation on thier own. With the latest cut in seats, there are only 86000 seats in engineering course in Telangana. 91000 candidates were declared qualified in the TS - EAMCET exam 2015.

Following is the latest seat matrix for engineering counseling in Telangana:

1) Qualified in TS - EAMCET : 90556
2) Total seats: 86185
3) Seats in JNTUH purview: 77955
4) Seats in OU purview: 5720
5) Seats in KU purview: 2520
6) Seats in Government Colleges: 3332
7) Seats in Convener quota: 62744
8) Appeared for certificate verification: 62777

Seats under the purview of JNTUH for Various Branches:

1) Civil Engineering: 9825
2) Computer Science and Engineering: 22440
3) Information Technology: 2160
4) Electronic and Communication Engineering (ECE): 20070
5) EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering): 9945
6) Mechanical Engineering: 9285
7) Other branches: 2910
8) Total seats: 76635

All the above are seats in private engineering colleges. Apart from these there are some more seats in Government campus colleges. These are as follows:
1) JNTUH campuses: 1320
2) Osmania University: 5729
3) Kakatiya University: 2520
