The Centre will primarily focus on research in the area of corporate governance. It is also expected to help Indian corporate sector capture the latest global practices in the fields of corporate management and corporate disclosures.
ICSI is also proposed to launch its centers of excellence in Ajmer and Kolkata during the next few months. The ICSI is looking at setting different standards for other areas such as sports, elections and governments, among others.
