The decision of the Government holding teachers accountable if any student found copying has attracted the ire of the teachers' unions.
Telangana teachers’ organisations have urged all the examiners to boycott invigilation duty demanding the government to revoke the decision.
DEOs and MEOs also expressed anger over the decision of the Government. The circular issued by the Government also states that teachers on examination duty of the day will have to give an undertaking in this regard.
Telangana Progressive Teachers’ Federation president M Ravinder said that the decision was unacceptable as it is threatening teachers on duty. He demanded installing CCTVs and other measures to curb the copying in the exams.
