JNTU Hyderabad Alert on Fake Certificates by 4 Universities

JNTU Hyderabad has ordered its affiliated colleges to take actions against the faculty who joined with fake certificates of qualifications and experience. JNTUH has informed that the candidates who have secured degrees from 4 deemed universities in the country during 2001-05 are not eligible for any faculty / teaching positions in JNTUH and its affiliated colleges.

The order came in the light of recent fraud by a person who joined in an Engineering college as principal by producing fake certificates of qualifications. This is prompted the JNTUH to take stock of the faculty qualifications in all affiliated colleges.

Following four colleges / deemed universities were blacklisted and the certificates of these colleges are invalid for any jobs in the country. These are as follows:

1) JRS Rajasthan Vidyapeeth
2) Institute of Advanced Studies in Education
3) Allahabad Agricultural Research Institute
4) Vinayaka Missions Research Foundation (Selam, Tamilnadu).

These institutes are offering engineering courses through distance education mode. Supreme Court has banned approval of degrees of these institutions as they are not recognised by AICTE. AICTE does not approve engineering education through distance mode.
